Julia Clute, born in December 1834 married first, Alexander McGuire and had at least two daughters - Corine McGuire and Elizabeth McGuire. On 20 February 1861 she married second, William Slocum, Jr. Julia was the sister of my Nicholas F. Clute. In a copy of his letter dated 13 December 1905, Nicholas states "My sister Julia is living in Albany, New York now, has lived there nearly all her life. She is 71 years old this month." In a copy of a letter written about 1922 by Maud L. Marston of Ventnor, New Jersey Mrs. Marston states, "Julia Ann Clute married Alexander McGuire. Two of their daughters are still living, Corine and Elizabeth, and they have children all living in Albany or near it." Julia was the daughter of Gerardus Clute b. 16 March 1792 and Elizabeth Fratt. Hope this helps.

By any chance does anyone come up with an Albert James Clute born March 1860 in NY? I have been unable to locate him anywhere. He resided in KC, MO and was married to Margaret B. Hesnan born October 1865.

Richard, We are related back to Gerardus Clute and Elizabeth Fratt. Your branch is Nicholas and I come through Richard. They appear to have moved through Ohio together. I would appreciate any info you can share about your side of the family. Colleen has given me quite a bit but there are still a lot of holes.
