Welcome to all those new subscribers. I'm hoping that with the added
interest in CLUTE that someone will be able to help me find the elusive
Albert James CLUTE b. 1860 NY married Margaret HESNAN.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi List,
The number of subscribers to the CLUTE list and CLUTE digest is
climbing. We have had about one new subscriber a week lately. There are
now 25 Clute researchers receiving each message. It would be great to
get this list going. If each person would post one message, we would
probably find a lot of similar research is going on.
Please remember to post your questions, dependency charts and tidbits
occasionally. Also, don't forget to visit the CLUTE BOARDS at Rootsweb.
It is a easy place to search all of Rootsweb for the Surname Clute.
There are threaded archives where you can post seven different types of
information: Queries, Bible Records, Bios, Deeds, Obits, Pension, Wills.
You can also add a link to a Clute related web page. Here's the link:

I notice that some of my information conflicts with others information. My
info was gathered partially from other internet geneologists, some from
handwritten letters of ancestors, and some from information hand copied from
a family bible. I have 700 names in my FTM file, most of which are in my
CLUTE line, from Johannes (the boslooper) to me. I apologize for any typo's
of my fault, or any incorrect dates or information that I've collected.

My wife Barbara is a descendant of Johannes CLUTE, b. say 1660; buried 26 Nov. 1725, Niskayuna, Albany Co., NY. Married Bata VAN SLICHTENHORST about 1681.
Her line of descent is as follows:

Grerardus G. CLUTE, bp. 27 May 1765 in Schenectady, Albany Co., NY; died 20 May 1850 at Waterford, Saratoga Co., NY. Married Sarah VAN NESS 29 June 1786 at Schaghticoke, Albany Co., NY

Sarah Alida KEECH, b. 3 Aug. 1854 at Waterloo, Seneca Co., NY; died 23 Jan 1918 at Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Co., MI. Married Otis BAKER 2 Oct. 1878 at Kalamazoo, MI.
I have fairly good documentation for the ancestors from Gerardus CLUTE bp. 19 Oct. 1735 but would like to find something about the parents and siblings of Johannes CLUTE who died in 1725.
A note to John Becker, I have found some mistakes in Pearson's histories of Albany and Schenectady.
