Is there a Davd Cluff family reunion planned for this year? Does anyone know how I could get information about this or about the Cluff family journal? I've just discovered my connection to the Cluff family (my paternal grandmother was a Cluff--granddaughter of Benjamin, great-granddaughter of David Sr and Elizabeth Hall). I'd appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks!
Thanks, Jack!
I do remember this site and will share it with the rest of my lists!
What's interesting is my maiden name of CLUFF. Didn't exist enough in
1850 which was the year my grandfather was born to show on the map but
years later it did show. However another spelling of it, CLOUGH was
prominent in 1850 and less prominent than CLUFF in 1990.
Now my grandmother, his wife was a SCAMMAHORN which is a derivative of
SCHERMERHORN. Her spelling never shows in any year but SCHERMERHORN
shows in every year. I come from very rare spelling birds! ;)

Along the line of maps, I sent this out a long time ago but there may be
some new people who haven't seen it. This is a population distribution
map
by surname and allows you to select several dates back to
1850. Interesting to see the Letsons in 1850 vs 1990.

Folks!
This National Atlas site was shared on another surname list to which I
am subscribed. It appears to be a very good site for (free!) maps
(normal, aerial and topographical). Wish I had more time to spend with
it. I'd "map" every one of my ancestors' locations! :)
