Janice,
Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your response to my query last year. I am officially a Daughter in the Point Vicente Chapter in Southern California!
Thanks again for all your help. I plan to add names to my patriot list, including the "Runnels" link you mentioned.
Debbie

I am sending this email for help in finding my 3/great grandmother , We
can't find any information on her and I will give all I know about her
and hope It will bring results... She was I'm told by my grandmother and
her sister that my 3/gr grandmother was from Oklahoma, that she was
Cherokee and that was all I had , but they are now deceased and from
what I find on the computer is that she was from New York and I can't
find anything there on her... Iam told from another cousin that her name
is Fidelia Caroline Clough, but from records from her son,Homer, her
name on the record show her name as CAROLINE CLUFF... I also know she
married RICHARD LOOMIS, from ERIE , NEW YORK , IN 1837... They went to
WISCONSIN as early settlers in DODGE CO. and DUNN CO. He was also in
the CIVIL WAR... If you can find out anything I would ''greatly''
appreciate it... Ann Epstein... nepstein(a)cfl.rr.com

My message below was not delivered to cluff-l(a)rootsweb.com so I am
trying again. I got a message tonight informing me of the failure. I
believe it was because the address was in capital letters. So I'm going
to try sending it again in lowercase this time.
Later...Nancy

Shirley,
In this mornings RootsWeb Personal Mailing List (PML) search, I ran
across your posting to the MDWORCES-L list by searching for CLUFF. I
thought it important enough to CLUFF-L to include your connection in the
archives by posting it again here. I surely didnt think you would mind
since it had already been posted once on the Internet.
My great grandfather, Charles C. CLUFF (b 1815 KYd 1890 OH) stated that
his father was born in Maryland. So you can imagine my interest in your
ancestor. You mentioned in your posting that you have collected most of
your CLUFF line so I am hoping you know your George Isaacs ancestors
and would share the information on this list ? Another question would
be if any male in your CLUFF family has ever taken a DNA test? My
brother has and the results showed that Susan Clough Wyatts ancestor,
George CLOUGH (b 1820) of Virginia had common ancestors in the last 200
years. If I have corresponded with before, I apologize for my
information overload. If you are interesting in DNA research, let me
know and I can provide you with different sites.
All,
I finally got the web page created for CLUFF-L at:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sidersn/cluff/index.htm
Be sure and check out the link for Subscribers . Thats where I have
placed all of our lineages. Enjoy!

Approx 4 years ago, I posted this question and recceived no responses.
Am trying again. Looking for the parents and/or siblings of
MARGARET(MARGURET) ELIZABETH COULBOURNE (1844-1892). She married GEORGE
ISAAC CLUFF(1837-1907). They are my Ggrandparents and both are buried in
the Baptist Church Cemetery, Rehobeth, Md. They were the parents of
George S., Charles Asbury, Etta Mae, Mary E, and Robert Henry. I have
most of the info on the CLUFF line but none on the Coulbourne line. Any
leads will be greatly appreciated since I am unable to find a starting
place. Shirley Cluff Cole
