Peg,
I am interested in any CLUFF (CLOUGH) in Maryland! My ggrandfather, Charles
C. CLUFF states on the 1880 Highland County, Ohio Census that his father was
born in MD; his mother in KY as well as himself born in KY in 1815. I have
been searching for nearly 35 years for Charles' parents. I have found a
Reuben CLUFF who married Catherine HENTON in Woodford Co., KY in 1812 which
would have been the right timing for his parents. Reuben came to Pike Co.,
OH but I have never been able to connect him to my Charles. If you know of
any similar names, any who "went West", or assist me in any way to pull my
Charles out from under that assumed rock, I'd be MOST appreciative! :)

Hi girls, (if anyone is still here).....Remember that I was searching
for FIDELIA CLOUGH/CLOFF/CLUFF???? Well, on his Civil War Pension
Records, her son Homer lists his mothers name as CAROLINE CLUFF>>>SO--I
am going to assume that her name was actually CAROLINE FIDELIA CLUFF as
I have had very little luck with the name Fidelia......I guess
(hopefully) that this may be a breakthrough if I can now find her under
this name but it means starting from scratch........Juanita
