Was John Cloyes b, 1604 Colchester, England the only early Cloyes
immigrant or were there others of this family also in America in the 1600's?
We now have two proven descendants of Jame Cloyes b. 1678 who have
independently traced their paper trail ancestry and who have verified
the documentation with Y-DNA testing results.
Next, I would like to expand the Y-DNA test base to include descendants
of James Cloye's(1678) father Peter Cloyes b. 1640, and his grandfather
John Cloyes b. 1604.
First, though, I need to know if there were any other early Cloyes
immigrants to be aware of? My personal information is a blank on this
issue.
I would welcome comments and updates from any folks who have opinions on
this.
Thanks,
Bill Harvey
