Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I know there are some Moffitt/Moffat researchers out there - thought would
send this along, in case.

Debbie,
I don't have a Josiah W. Cloyes in my database, even though my family comes
from New York! Maybe someone else might have him, and help us all out.

Stephanie,
You referenced the above book as one of you sources in your last posting.
Where may one acquire this book? Is it still in print? Who was the author?
Who was the publisher? Or is it something like the Cloyes Dagwell Family
Genealogies book that I transcribed?
Lotsa questions,
Tom
Stephanie and others-
Do you have a Josiah W. Cloyes in your information on the NY Cloyes??
He was born 7/6/1810 in Paris, Oneida County, NY. We belive he had six
brothers and 2 sisters. He left with one brother to move to MI/MN area.
We have all of his descendents but no ancesters. I'm especially
interested in the names of his parents and brothers/sisters.
Thanks!
Debbie (dwcrump(a)ibm.net)
This is all I have on the Cloyes/Waters connection, but it could be
possible Mehitable is of this line and that the two sisters (Mary and
Mehitable) married brothers (Joseph and William Moffatt), a fairly common
occurence The dates fit, for Mehitable to 'fit' into this family.
What is the source for your information on Mehitable's surname being Cloyes
and possibly being from Maine? I have no other Mehitable Cloyes at that
time in my large database. I have researched Cloyes VR at Watertown,
Salem, Boston, Charlestown for this time period and never came across a
Mehitable. Haven't looked at Maine VR, have you?

Stephanie,
Yes I got that message, and thanks so much for that info. Will have to talk
to mom and see if she contacted any of these people when she was in
Syracuse last time.
Thanks,
Tom

My new e mail server had a hard drive crash, so my e mail was out for about
a week. This caused me to be automatically unsubscribed to some of my news
lists when my mail all bounced back to them. Had to resubscribe to all.
Please note my new e mail address. If anyone tried to contact me in this
last week, please resend.
Tom - some of my outgoing messages sneaked out one day - did you ever get
the one I sent you with the Gere addresses?

name is seperate, but the Clays name is probably related.
