I am looking for the parents of my 5th great grandmother. Her name is Jane Cloyd. She died in Monroe (or Morgan County)Indiana in 1837. She was married to a Thomas Graham and they had settled in Crab Orchard, Lincoln County, Kentucky (the actual marriage date and settlement date is unknown). Thomas and Jane (Cloyd) Graham had 7 children total. 6 boys: Samuel L, Robertson, Enoch, John Jefferson, James, and Thomas Madison; and 1 girl: Mary who married Joseph Campbell in Indiana in 1821. The birth dates of Thomas and Jane (Cloyd) Graham's children range from 1795-1811 (that we know so far, there are a couple whom we have not been able to find their birth dates). Since all of the children were born in Crab Orchard, we know that Thomas and Jane (Cloyd) Graham were in Lincoln County, Kentucky as early as 1795. From their son Thomas Madison Graham's obit, we know that his father and mother moved to Indiana around 1814. From a biography of their son Robertson Graham, Thomas Graham S!
r was born in North Carolina and his wife Jane Cloyd was born in Pennsylvania.
Any help locating Jane's family would be very much appreciated. I know that in Crab Orchard there was another Graham family (we haven't been able to connect both lines quite yet but a lot of evidence supports their relationship). This family was Benjamin and Faithful Graham. When Benjamin died, Faithful Graham married another Cloyd so I was curious if this Cloyd may also be a relation to my 5th great grandmother Jane.
