I do not know if you are male or female but was wondering if you (if your a male) or another of your male CLOYD male relatives have had a DNA done? I am a female and we have no living males left anymore so I am not able to suggest this to anyone on my side. I am from the CLOYD's that were in PA., VA., TN. and MO. Please let me know if you find anyone willing to do the DNA and publish the out come.

I would like to see a Cloyd DNA project also. As many Cloyd males that are around, I'm shocked that none of them have taken advantage of this. And a few are getting their lines messed up. There was another Cloyd around the time that Ninian Cloyd arrived.
I descend from the Cloyds in Cumberland County. The cost of DNA testing is very affordable.

Do you have copies of the stated references? I have looked in all the census for 1880 and 1900 and I can not find reference to Willie Turk. I believe that if you have those pages it may very well solve my dilemma!
If you have copies of those pages and you don't mind sending them to me, please email them to mark(a)markcloyd.com.
I was able to find James Clinton Cloyd, but nothing more recent for children that would show Willie Turk.
Thanks in advance,
Mark

The post you responded to "Re:Another Ky Cloyd , some death certificate info", was all I had. Could not make a link to the Cloyd name.
