He died peacefully surrounded in the awareness that he was loved, truly loved. The family called the Summa Hospice service, and upon arrival the legal date of his death was set as December 26, 2009.
John was born John Clifford Cloyd, Jr. on November 23, 1929, in Danville, Illinois. He was a resident of Akron, Ohio for 49 years.
John leaves behind as a celebration of his life, his loving and devoted wife, Marian L. Cloyd and their two children, Victoria E. Peyton and Dennis C. Cloyd; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernie Vandiver Cloyd, John Clifford Cloyd, Sr.; sisters, Maxine Dixon, Ceretha Gray, June Williams; and brother, Eugene Cloyd.
He is gone from our sight, but not from our hearts...
