Thanks for responding to my message. Sorry ... I don't have anything further on James H. Cloyd or any of his siblings. Will keep you in mind if I run into any data that matches the names you list in your response. My focus has been on the Hundley side to date.

Do you have any information on James H. Cloyd's siblings? My grandmother - Ora Elizabeth Cloyd had a sister Pearl and I noticed a Pearl in James's family. He might have named her after a relative maybe? Ora was born about 1881 and died in Arkansas 1901. She also had brothers Rance C. and Willard that I know of. JoHannah Catt jcattsinger(a)juno.com

Thank you for your email. I know very little about this Cloyd family. My grandmother's name was Ora Elizabeth Cloyd, b. 1881, d. 1901 in Egypt, Arkansas, m. David Marion Coonrod on 22 January 1898 in Cairo, IL. Know she had at least two brothers - Rance C and Willard and one sister - Pearl. Altho married in IL the siblings seem to be located more in Arkansas - at least that was Rance's address when he signed affadavit confirming her children's identities when she died. I have a letter from Pearl in the 1950's and that address was Phoenix, Arizona. David M. Coonrod's birthplace is listed as Kansas on my uncle's birth certificate. My uncle was b. in Mound City, IL as was David's sister Charlotte. His Civil War papers state that he was a native of Pike Co., IN. So I have no idea where she met up with him, but I really think her roots were more in the south of the USA. If you have any more to add to what I've told you, please write. Again, thank you for your email. I!
notice that your name is Garrett. I have a daughter-in-law whose mother is married to a Garrett. JoHannah Catt jcattsinger(a)juno.com
