No, but we would love to find out!
William Limbert Clower was the son of William Clower and Elizabeth.
Elizabeth was born with the surname Limbert, and married William Richardson (1813-1837)in 1834. After he died, she married William Clower in 1844.
This is why William Limbert Clower has the unusual middle name.
We don't know when William Limbert Clower came to America, but by 1873 he had married Hannah Stork (of German origin) and was living in Pennsylvania and his first child was born.
Emma Clower b 1873
William H Clower b.1874
Clara Clower b. 1875
Edwin S Clower b. 1878
Ada Clower b. 1883
This is from the 1880 and 1900 census. Reading between the lines, Hannah died at the time of or shortly after Ada's birth and I think that William Limbert then married her sister Adelaide who in the 1880 census was resident in their house.
William and Adelaide then had two more children of their own, Frank born 1886 and Charles born 1889.
William Limbert Clower had a large grocery and butchers store in Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia. The American family kept in contact with their cousins back in Nottingham.
If anyone has any more information, I would be pleased to hear it.

Dear Jerry
I have an Ann Clower born 1845 in Nottingham who married a George Johnson also born in Nottingham in 1864.
This is the only incidence of both surnames together.
William Limbert Clower (b. 1847 in Nottingham) who was Ann's younger brother, emigrated to Pennsylvania and as far as we know started the only American branch of this particular family group.

I dont know if you are still interested but my Grand-dad Leonard (Len) was born in Mansfeild (nottinghamshire) and moved to Ilkeston between the wars.He married Annie-May Knighton of Cotmanhay Ilkeston. I am told that his sister ran a pub in Basford called the seven stars. Both me and my dad were born in Ilkeston.
