John CLOW is the first "recorded" CLOW in Indiana history Indiana 1830 Census). He worked two days in building the first Indiana State Government building in Indianapolis. He also was a State witness in a case prosecuting a woman on prostitution. Quite a few CLOW and CLOE came into Marion County, Indiana in the 1830's and 1840's. At present, I have been unable to link this John CLOW to anyone else. But two of the four sons of James CLOW of Balhaldie, Scotland (1721 - 1790) and their families did come through the State of Indiana.
