I have been to that land and seen the marker given by the Canadian government naming the family as one of the original Canadian families. I am sure it is still there.

I was studying an old map recently and saw "Mrs. Clow" marked on a parcel next to the Cole parcel on Cole's Bay/Ferry. Is it that land? On the old map there is a dot marking the site of a cabin. I tried to find that exact spot on Google Maps but not sure. ext to the intersection of Rte. 2 and Halleck Rd. maybe? Do you know if this is William & Sophia's parcel and if there is still some remnant of a cabin there?

Who is the Wm. Clow, b. about June 1785 in the U.S., located in the household of Charkus Velie (Chark Veley) and his wife Sarah (Sarah Clow), in Camden East Twp., Addington Co., Canada West in 1852? Is he Sarah's father? Who might William's wife (and Sarah's father) be? The census record states that he was actually a resident of neighboring Portland Twp., Frontenac Co., Canada West.
