COSHOCTON: Harry Clow Salvage, 88, of Coshocton, Ohio, passed away at his residence on Sunday morning, November 18, 2012.
He was born in Coshocton, Ohio, on January 18, 1924, the son of the late Charles William and Mary Emma (Clow) Salvage.
Harry left high school to join the U. S. Navy on December 8, 1941, and served aboard the USS Augusta from 1941-1945.
He returned to Coshocton and was employed at Clow Corporation for many years, and following his retirement he was employed at Buehler's Food Market in Coshocton, OH.
He is survived by his former wife and close friend, Betty W. Salvage of Coshocton, Ohio; his son, Harry Jay (Jo) Salvage of Perrysburg, Ohio; his grandchildren, Tara Stubbs (Greg) Figurski, Thomas Stubbs, Emily Salvage (James) Nix, Timothy (Kimberly) Salvage, John Salvage; his great-grandchildren, Maya, Abigail, and Kyle Figurski, and Harley and Jarret Salvage; and his sister, Catharine (Paul) Lindell of Hopewell, Virginia; and his former son-in-law, Timothy (Chrissie) Stubbs of Obetz, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Ann Salvage Stubbs; his son, Timothy Clow Salvage; his brothers, Charles, William, Marshall, Richard, Winfield Salvage; and his sisters, Mary E. Brown, and Louise N. Strasbaugh.
Cremation will take place and a graveside service will be held in South Lawn Cemetery on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at 10:00 A.M. with the Coshocton County Veteran's Council . A memorial service will follow and will be held in the Custer Chapel of the Presbyterian Church in Coshocton, Ohio, on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at 11:00 A.M.
