Clow, Cheney. d. 1788. Loyalist.
Attempted unsuccessfully, April 1778, to instigate a revolt in the Delaware legislature against the patriots; also tried an unsuccessful march against the capitol, Dover.
I am not related to this person, I am just passing on this information, which comes from a book titled "People & Events of the American Revolution" by Dupuy/Hammerman. R.R. Bowker Company, 1974. pg.304.

Hello,
I have been researching Mary Clow who I believe married Samuel Fawcett
in June 1891 in Dewsbury. She is my grandmother.
Other details.
She came to Boston port in 1905 as a widow with 3 sons. Albert
Hardcastle Fawcett, James Henry Fawcett and Harold Fawcett. She said she was going to
her brother William Craven in williamsett, Ma near Holyoke, Ma. The
manifest said her last place of residence in England was Idle Yorkshire.
I have not been able to track the CLow/Craven relationship yet. Nor have I
been able to find out who Mary's parents were.
I have located a Mary Clow in the 1891 census boarding with a family. That
census says she was born in Windhill Idle. Her age was 22 at the time.
Has anyone else on the list been researching this particular Mary Clow.
Sandy Dunsmore nee Fawcett

Hi! I am searching for ancestry of Andrew Clow who married Caroline Peters, a native Indian in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. They had five children: Elsie, Jack, Jim, Leslie, and Charles. I found Andrew listed in Newfoundland census in 1864, Roseblanche, Nfld as fisherman. Also listed with him was his brother, John. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Please e-mail me at rcclow(a)telusplanet.net.
Thank you. Charles
