Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

The yearbook has this next to Carl's photo: The old "Louisiana Mudwamp"! He lays claim to being the only guy in his group who can give his instructor a thrill. Carl's idea of a thrill is anything designed to sprout grey hairs on your head. His southern accent is rather geared down, but Carl makes up for his talking in action.

Obituary: Carl Estes Clover
Graveside services for Carl Estes Clover will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville, with Dr. Gary D. Baldwin officiating. Burial will be under direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.
Clover, 83, of Dickinson, Texas, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2001, in Mainland Medical Center, Texas City, Texas.
He was a native of Addis and a graduate of Bolton High School. He retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserve as a lieutenant colonel serving 28 years. During World War II, he flew 51 missions in B-17s for the Army Air Corps in the European Theater. He was also an instructor for B-29 training. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters.
He was employed by Union Carbide Chemical Co. for 37 years. At the time of his retirement, he was a shift supervisor. He was a member of VFW and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Colfax Clover and Minnie Baker Clover.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie S. Clover one son, Carl E. Clover Jr. and three grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of choice.

Carl is pictured in the Gosport, yearbook of the 43-E class at Morton Air Academy in Blythe, CA. He is a flight cadet. I'm not kin, but thought this might help someone researching the family.
