This is the right Adeline Clover who married Wellington Wendell. Her brother Albert was in the same regiment in the Civil War as Wellington's uncle and a number of his cousins. I accidently ran across a picture of Albert Clover. I do have information on Adeline Clover's husband if anyone needs it.
Thank you for all your help and if I can help in any way I certainly will...........

I am very interested in the Isaac/John Connection. There was definitely an
Isaac Clover in TX prior to 1850. However, the Isaac Clover who married Zilpha
White in 1828 in AR died very early. According to my records, he died
between 1830 and 1839 and left a widow, Zilpha, and two minor heirs, Adam and Isaac.
He may have left more heirs but I am not aware of them being in the records.
Note that the John Clover who married Susan Massengill was born well before
1828 so I wonder if he could be the son of another of the Clovers in AR. I
have wondered if the confusion arose because there are several records for Isaac
Clover in TX. I wonder if this minor Isaac could be the Isaac in TX.
I would be delighted if anyone could provide me with further information. I
am feeling my way around in the dark with this group.

Have come across a 1855 Census that lists the household of Wellington Clayton Wendell and wife Adeline (Clover) Listed as residing with them are: Albert Clover age 16 and Celinda Clover age 22. Both born in Otsego Co. New York. Do these names ring and bells with you.....
Hello, I am new to this list. I am looking for information on Isaac Clover
who was born abt 1800 in IL? I have no clue as to who his wife was either. I
just know that he emigrated to TX and arrived in 1822. He traveled with a
wife and child(John Clover b:abt 1826 in Ark md Susan Massingill in TX),
maybe two children. He fought for the Republic of TX and probably died
before 1840. Does anyone know of this Clover?
Tara

I don't have proof of Adeline's parents, however, I do have a note about an Edward Clover, died 29 April 1840, aged 22, Springfield, Otsego County, NY. His obituary was in the May 11, 1840 Freeman's Journal. This obit may list more information about his family. He looks to me to be a possible brother for your Adeline.
Happy hunting.
