Hello June,
I enjoyed your book Clovers of Franklin Country, Ohio
So the Clovers are German? I was hoping we were Irish.
I"ll keep reading. Your book is great.
Thank you,
charlotte.

This is a very complicated subject. Yes, Christina was probably the daughter of Philip Clover of Berkeley County. No, he was not married to a Shepherd. This has long been discounted as has been the middle initial A. in Philip's name
At the present time, I have heard several theories about his wife, but none are at all likely.

I am a gggg granddaughter of Christina Clover and John Ferneau. Since John came to the Colonies from Europe, I am now concentrating on tracing Christina Clover's ancestors. Her mother Elizabeth Sheppard you say had parents Thomas and Elizabeth - do you have birth/death/marriage dates from them? I will let you know what I find.
