Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

This information comes from the BMS2000 on-line database. The original information is from the St-Médard church records in Warwick (Arthabaska co) in Quebec province.
For that period, the church records in Quebec are also the official civil statistics records.

Roger, thank you for your post. What is your connection with Alphonse and Vitaline?Where were you able to access the marriage date for them?I received the name Vitaline Clouthier ( spelled with an H ) while looking for a marriage certificate for Anna Courtemanche and Joseph Riel. I found that information through the (AFGS.org) the American French genealogical society in R.I.The wedding date for Joseph Riel and Anna ( Alphonse and Vitaline's daughter) is 18th of June 1906 at St. Hyacinthe Church, New Bedford Mass.Anna's D.O.B is listed as 12 March 1886 in Valcourt Co. Shefford Quebec. D.O.D. listed as 27th of December 1967. I hope this is of some help to you as well. Please send me anymore information you come accross.
