I am doing research (very part time basis through the Internet) on the Jobin. Because St-Sylvestre is about 20-25 miles from Black Lake and that Napoleon Jobin died in Thetford Mines 3 miles from Black Lake the Roseanna Jobin who married Treffle Cloutier could be: Roseanna Jobin (born Novembre 12 1899 in St-Sylvestre) daughter of Mapoléon Jobin (1863-1945 and Philomene Gilbert (1863-1949) who married in St-Sylvestre, Quebec August 18, 1883.
Napoleon was the son of Paul Jobin (circa 1837) and Delina Doyon (1841).
Good luck with your research

Bonjour Jeannie,
>From my database, I find four Apollines who married Cloutiers about 1880. They are:
- Apolline Léveillé & Sévère Cloutier
- Apolline Thibault & Napoléon Cloutier
- Apolline Drapeau & Jean Cloutier
- Apolline Gaudreau & Auguste Cloutier
If one of those rings a bell, let me know at: cloutierdesilets(a)videotron.ca

I am trying to trace back from my GGrandmother Alphonsine (Cloutier) LaVigne’s . She was born on 7-17-1883 in Calumet, MI. and died 11-1963. She is burried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Escanaba Michigan. She was married to Delphis LaVigne and had 8 children; Arthur, Edward, Albert, Alfred, Bertha, Mary, Amanda, and Rose (my grandmother). I cannot find the name of her father, but her mothers name was Appolaline (I do not know her maiden name) Cloutier and was born in 1864, she died on 7/4/1964 at age 99. Does anyone have any inf. On this branch of the LaVignes?
I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. You can email me at JERinger(a)aol.com
Thank You, Jeannie Ringer

Bonjour Suzy,
A couple with exactly the same names doesn't seem to have existed. Maybe we can check. What was the name of the spouse of Marie, where and when did they marry? With this, we should be able to know.
You can let me know at: cloutierdesilets(a)videotron.ca
