Hi, Lianne. Did I ever send you a copy of the obit? I can't remember and yes, I was recovering from one move and have since made another (though not quite as far). I can't remember. I tend to work in spurts - I have a lot more time in the summer so I'm working genealogy again. Let me know, and if not, I'll shoot it over to you.
Cathy

Hi - I would love to connect these families also. It's interesting that they both had a "Leatherman" name. I assume, maybe incorrectly, that it had to do with leatherwork.
So many of the first names of these families are the same. It's very easy to believe that they are connected somehow.

Thank you. Below is a link to a site that has a picture of Edwards tombstone. He is buried in McCurtain county (Broken Bow) OK. Minnie remarried when Edward died and became a Carroll. She died when I was young, and I only knew her as 'Grand Carroll'. I remember Opal, who you mentioned above, she used to sell sno-cones in the summer and would give me one for free when I came to visit.
