Cathy - Have you learned more about the Clouse family? I never was able to clarify the possible connections going further back than James Wesley Clouse. I have George W. and his father George in my family tree, but they are there as mostly markers because I have so little info.

I have a hardback copy of Pats book which I bought from her personally 10 years ago. It is a very large book with a lot of information in it, not all of which is sourced.
We wrote back and forth several times. She loved to answer question up until I asked her where she got the information about Lucretia Clouse, dau of William and Elizabeth. I worked very hard to word my request in a respectful way but it offended her. All she would say is that is what was sent to her, by whom she would never say and she refused to answer any of my letters.
Lucretia Clouse is William's 5th child, born 3 Jan 1818, not in the 1830's as stated in her book. (I don't have the book in front of me for the exact data) Also William's Lucretia married James Scoggins 1836 in Hardeman, TN and they had 7 children, the youngest my g-grandfather.
James and Lucretia are in Independence Co., Ark in the 1850 census along with children and James' brother-in-law (Lucretia's brother) John Clouse. They are in the 1860 census in Searcy Co., Ark. Lucretia died between 1861 and 1865. James remarried. I say this to answer those who try to marry Lucretia to the man in Pat's book at a later date.
I do not want to sell my book but would be glad to look up information for anyone who asked. There is a lot of good stuff in Pat's book you just have to do as others have already said and check it out.
