I agree - the 1830-40 George seems to be George III w/mom, then on 1840 w/wife, sons John A.b. 1838 and William C. b. 12/1/1839. A Clouse researcher in IN descends from George Clouse of 1820 census Garrard, Ky with wife and 10 kids. His theory is this is George II who left wife and son in Marion Co., TN and went to Ky. Ky George is 45+ in 1820, so b. by1775. The ages of the three oldest girls would disprove this theory as they are b. 1794-1804. Why would Geo III b. ca. 1813 be left in Marion Co., TN?? Doesn't pan out for me.
Yes, Pat's book is wonderful as a guide but info must be checked out when possible. Please let me know your ideas on the whereabouts of Geo II.
