I know that my maternal great-grandmothers were cousins, Mary Frances Clouse and Elizabeth Jane "Betsy" Clouse, and their fathers William and John were brothers born in Ohio.
Some of the other Clouses in Crawford and the adjoining Clark County were also from Ohio and probably are part of the same family. Someday I hope to investigate the Clouses in depth, and perhaps find the connections.

I'm thinking the Clouses of Bond County, IL were the family who migrated from eastern Tennessee. Time frame would be about right, too. I can check my notes if anyone is interested. My Clouses came from central Kentucky in the early 1800s and went to Montgomery and Fountain Counties, IN. I've tried to figure out where they were before Kentucky, and so I have some info on locations of other Clouse branches as well.
