Lewis Clouse's father/mother were Jacob Clouse & Mary Moore. Both were born in Pennsylvania. Jacob's parents were Christopher Clouse & Anna Catherine Hench from Pennsylvania. Christopher died in Washington Co. PA. Christopher's father was Thomas Clouse who was born in 1710 in White County, Tennessee. I do not have the name of Thomas' father but his grandfather was William Clouse, Jr.. (place of birth unknown). His father of course was William Clouse, Sr. born about 1623 (place unknown). William Sr.'s father was Phettiplace Clouse born 1593 in Germany. If you have any additions to this it would be greatly appreciated.
I have Leonard Clouse born Sussex Co NJ ca 1760. Am looking for info on his parentage. I am through his youngest son Abram b. 2 May 1807 in Townsend twp, Norfolk Co., ONT married Mary Wolf/Wood before 1824.

I am posting this reply even though it has been 3 years since the original message. Phoebe Turner Eliza Clouse Demoret was my ggg aunt and her father, George W. Clouse (born May 16, 1810) was my ggg grandfather. My line goes like this: George W. Clouse, Andrew James Clouse (Phoebe's brother), Travis Berton Clouse, Vernest Ray Clouse, Richard Dean Clouse, Cathy Clouse Armstrong. I have listings of all of the spouses and siblings with many birthdates and death dates (with the exception of George W.) Therefore, that's what I am looking for - any information on George W. and particularly, who his parents were. Any help anyone could give would be appreciated! Please feel free to e-mail me at armstrong2224(a)mchsi.com.
