Hildreth the phone number was still good with the new area code. I tried to contact Pat Franklin today. The gentleman I talked to said she was now in a resthome. I asked him about the book and he didnt seem to know anything it. I would value what copies are floating around out there. Does anyone else have another source or a copy they dont need anymore?

The book I have is called
Book of Remembrance
Of
The Clouse Clan dated 1995
This one was written by Della P "Pat" Franklin
The address in book is 1009 West Cemetery Rd.
Cookeville, TN 38506
The phone is 615-432-4859.
I got mine by directly calling her at the time.
Now if I look in Switchboard.com I don't find a Franklin at that address but
one at 1050 W. Cemetery Rd. I also note they have had a area code change and
its now 931 instead of 615. Hope this helps.

Are any of the Tenn researchers working on Dessal Lee CLOUSE, son of John, raised in Clarksville?
Sorry for the scant information but that's all I was given by the person I'm trying to help.
Thanks for your assistance
Clarksville is in Montgomery County, TN which is just over from White &
Smith Counties if I remember correctly. So it would be possible that he is
connected to the Clouse line from that area ... but without a year I
wouldn't know which John to begin looking at. I don't have a Dessal Lee
Clouse in my files.

My husband's Clouse line was in TN pretty early-late 1700s or so. They
settled in the Sparta area (White and Putnam counties). His direct line
(Isaac Wesley "Gus" Clouse) left TN for Fannin County TX in the late
1880s. His sons went to OK Territory possibly during the Land Runs, or
shortly thereafter. Are you researching TN Clouses?

I am researching Clouse lines in Ohio. I am wondering if all these Clouse's
are connected. Where do your Clouse's originate or come from. I know that
the line I am researching came from Alsace-Lorraine originally. I keep
coming to a dead end with them. I know there were in Franklin County, Ohio
in 1850 and then our ancestor went on to Dubuque County, Iowa and settled
there and raised a family.
Any help would be grately appreciated. Sorry to bud in to the TN, KY line
but thinking maybe they may be connected somehow.
