Adopted after birth on February 6, 1962, born Booth Memorial Hospital for Unwed Mothers named Cynthia Ann Clouse at birth. Adopted at age six months by the Wallace family. Details can not be attained as Adoption records are closed in the state of Pennslyvania. I now have two children and would like to have medical information from my birth family. I was led to believe my birth stemmed from an assault, therefore I believe a meeting would be out of the question.
I would like to apologize to anyone in the Clouse who may find this message upsetting, but understand I live everyday of my life wondering what illness may affect me and my children in the future.

Looking for Donald Clouse who married Nettie Coulter in June of 1943. They may have been married in West Virginia as Nettie was born in May of 1923 and raised in Grenbrier Co WV. My research indicates that they lived in Albion, Indiana in the 1960's. They had at least 3 children: Catherine, Donald and Robin. Certainly they could still be living. Does anyone know of this family? Please email me directly. Thanks.

I am trying to find more information about my gggrandfather's family. Hope you can help. Please email me at JCRausch(a)aol.com if you have even a tidbit of info for me.
My tree begins with Michael Klaus, b 1/11/1800, d. 9/7/1887. He immigrated to the US from Hessen German about 1838. He married Maria Eva Schmidt (date unknown) who was b 4/8/1811, d. 1/26/1891. They had 9 children.
The name Klaus was changed to Clouse sometime about late 1800's. From the land records we've found, the spelling fluctuates back and forth for a period of about 20 years, then seems to be solidly "Clouse" after 1900.
Four of their children, George, Michael, Barbara and Magdalene, we know nothing about. We have some estimated birthdates:
George - 1842, Michael - 1846, Barbara 1849, Magdalene - 1852.
If you can help me find Michael's parents or the siblings, please email me!
Thanks
Joyce

My gggrandfather had a son George that we are having trouble locating as well. We estimated his birth to be about 1846 though. I don't know if we are talking about the same George. He would have been born in western PA - near Butler. Fathers name Michael KLAUS, mother Maria Eva Schmidt.
Let me know!

Alvin
My mother was a Clouse and my parents have done extensive research on the family tree and would love to have a copy of the Clouse Family History - provided the history is part of my family tree.
We are descended from Michael Klaus b Jan 11, 1800, married Marie Eva Schmidt b. April 8, 1811 and immigrated to the US about 1838 from Fehlheim Parish, Bencheim, Hessen Germany. That's as far back as we go in the tree.
Do you know if the History book would link us up?
