Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

William Clough b. 19 Jun 1823 England d. 30 Jul 1900 Coshocton County, Ohio m 24 Feb 1847 in the Parish Church of Branspeth, County Durham, England. Rachel Collins b. 11 Jan 1829 County Durham, England d. 20 Jan 1914 Tuscarawas County, Ohio.
William's father was Henry Clough b. 1797 Jarrow, County Durham, England who m Margaret 9 Oct 1820 Houghton LeSpring, County Durham, England.
I believe they were involved in mining and connected to Byers Green and White Lee before emigrating.
I would appreciate any information on the Cloughs in County Durham.

Hi Superman,
Thanks for the suggestion. I will follow up the books. However, I think it unlikely to lead anywhere as Margaret F Clough's descendants stayed in Northumberland England. The books probably tell of a much earlier offshoot of the Cloughs.
