I took an autosomal DNA test through Ancestry.com and may have finally narrowed down my Clough line. It appears my line is from Ephraim Clough, 1724 – 1804 (son of Jonathan Clough and Hannah Gile). Based on location and other factors, the most promising child of Ephraim is Jonathan Clough, Birth 25 Apr 1748 in Stafford, Connecticut and his first wife Elizabeth Crossett 1747 – bf 1783.
I am looking for parents of John Clough b 1777 Mass and Anna Clough b 1783 poss CT or NY. Does anyone have documented children of Jonathan and Elizabeth? I am finding undocumented trees with all sorts of names for his second wife, Abigail Allen. Since Anna claimed she was part French, I am guessing her mother was Elizabeth.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
