More info from Irene H. Massachusetts records show that Alice M. Clough was born in Brunswick, Maine and died of diphtheria in Lynn, MA at age 10 yrs. 5 mos. 17 dys. Her gravestone says she died at 11 yrs. 5 mos. Records also show that her father Melvin Franklin Clough died in Lynn, MA on June 5, 1894. Because his father and daughter are buried in the Quaker cemetery in Durham, Maine, I bet Melvin is there, too. So one place to look for more information about this family is in the 1860, 1870 and 1880 census records of Lynn, MA. Keziah was 49 when Melvin died. She may have remarried. C.W.

Here's a coincidence... one of our Clough cousins just visited the Quaker cemetery in Durham, Maine and found a gravestone for "Alice Clough" dau. of M.F. and K.C. Clough
died October 3, 1877 age 11 yrs 5 months" "She is with the angels now"
Her parents must be Melvin Franklin Clough, b. 1840, son of Franklin Clough b. 1810, and his wife Keziah C. Davis, b. 1845. Their ages and initials are right to be the parents of Alice Clough. If you email me at y2klarc(a)yahoo.com I will email you a pic of Alice's gravestone. C.W.
