Thank you for your quick response!! If Franklin in buried in a Quaker graveyard -- would that not make him Quaker? the reason I ask - I think Keziah's grandfather -(maternal side) Jonathan Pilsbury was a Quaker - I don't think my Davis line was Quaker -- but sure gives me more to look into!!
Do you have any idea where Melvin &/or Keziah were buried or even where the died?
Again, THANK YOU. Your help really means a lot to me. Kezia and her siblings have been a mystery to solve - except for her brother Charles H. Davis - my ancestor.

Franklin Clough is a younger brother of my great-grandfather, David Crossman Clough. I have a Melvin Franklin Clough born in July, 1835 and died the same month. The Melvin Franklin Clough who married Keziah David I have born on August 30, 1840, d. June 5, 1894. No descendants known to me. If I remember correctly, Franklin Clough is buried in the Quaker graveyard across from the Quaker Meeting House in Durham, Maine. He has one of the larger monuments in that cemetery. Melvin is my first cousin twice removed. C.W.

Although I don't know if my Philadelphia CLOUGH/CLUFF line has any "Birdie" females, I can tell you that Birdie and Bridie are oftentimes the Irish nicnames for "Bridget". Regards, Mary
