Locations would help so using 1850 census for Aaron Clough and Robert
below.. Summit, Waukesha County, WI, we find them.. Aarron b. abt. 1794
in NH, m. Rebecca (Rickerson) b. abt. 1795 NH, son Robert F. b. abt.
1834 VT, daughter E. E. b. abt. 1841 VT.
In the IGI (LDS) records, the person has Robert Fulton Clough as born
1836 in Concord, Jefferson, WI and married to Lydia Louise Ingalls in
1857 in Concord, WI. If this is the same Robert Fulton C. So either they
are wrong and don't actually have the birth certificate or census is
incorrect.
Or the Robert Fulton Clough b. 11 nov 1840 VT m. Nancy Billington in
Ridgeway, Iowa County, WI from the Moses Family Tree on ancestry. If
this is correct. They have Aaron as born 23 mar 1795 in Seabrook, NH,
son of Aaron Clough (1761 - 1852) and Elizabeth Clark (1769 - 1858). If
you have ancestry, contact the owner of that tree for source information.

thanks for the info. I am not sure. I am trying to help another local Clough family find their ancestors, so I will have to ask them. In my search so far I found a Ralph that was born in 1913 in wisconsin, child of a Robert F. and Clara, I thought he would be about the right age and geographical birthplace, but I could be wrong. I know that Ralph's wife's name was Fredonna. I knew them as patients in our local hospital when I worked there as a dietitian many years ago. I was trying to find out if they are related to me before I called them, but it appears that I will have to call them to be able to find out for sure. I have just joined the John Clough society, and you have to be descended from John Clough to be a member. that is why i wanted to check first to see if they were elligible before I tell them about it. oh well, best laid plans.....we all came from the same part of wisconsin and minnesota, so I always wondered if we were related. I will let you know what i find!
out. So far I haven't found any Ralphs in my own family tree, but it is still "growing." I put it on myheritage.com as the "clough family website" if you want to check it out. thanks again, Harriet Clough

Upon review, this does not look like my grandfather - but another William Zinger, probably a nephew of my grandfather. In which case, Birdie Clough may have survived much longer than 1905.
