"138--HANNAH (Thomas, Thomas, John) Born probably in
1727 at Salisbury, Mass. On Nov. 26, 1741 she married
Hilton Woodman. (See Hoyt, page 460)"
This would mean that she married when she was 14. This is an
extremely strange and unlikely event.
Note that the Clough book says PROBABLY indicating they (the authors) undoubtedly have no information to support this "probably".
It must be a GUESS, and (in my opinion) a GUESS with a very small likelihood of accuracy.
Absent evidence like a will from Thomas Clough of the form "my daughter Hannah wife of Hilton Woodman" or one which lists his Woodman grandchildren with given names corresponding to the
known children of Hilton and Hannah Woodman*, this 1727 Hannah is simply too farfetched to be accepted!
*Jonathan, Samuel, Hannah,Elizabeth, Abigail, Mary, Martha, Michael. (all born
