A while back I posted a question about Calvin Clough b. 1807 in NH and d. 1876 in Pottawattamie Co., IA. His wife was Adeline B (according to the 1850 census). His children as listed on the 1850 census were Emeline Pember, age 10, Adeline, age 8, and Sarah Ann Clough, age 1. I'm not sure if Pember is a middle name or a last name. Calvin's daughter Adeline married Henry Rishton in 1860. They had 7 children: Florence, Fred, Belle, Alpha, Howard, Lida, and Corinne. Adeline died in 1884. On the 1885 Iowa state census there is a Betsy Clough living with Henry and the children. The census is quite difficult to read but it looks like Betsy would have been born in about 1826 in Ohio which is where all of Calvin and Adeline B's children were born. I know Calvin came to Pottawattamie county in 1853 according to the 1891 biography of Pott. county. I'm looking for any information on any of the Clough's. Does anyone out there have a connection to Betsy Clough and know what her r!
elation might have been to Henry Rishton. I can project that she was an aunt or something. Any help will be so appreciated.
Ashley

Ebenezer Clough was born on 9 Dec 1697?? in Boston, Suffolk, MA, and died in 1734 in Boston. HE CANNOT BE the son of Ebenezer Clough & Martha (Goodwin) Clough, as stated in Glover book because their son Ebenezer was born and died in 1699. (See previous post on Ebenezer Clough 1671?-1724.) According to Glover book, Rachael's husband was "b. Boston Dec 9, 1697 bapt at First Church, Dec 12, 1697. Joined New South Church in Summer St 1723."
Ebenezer Clough married Rachael Glover on 20 May 1725 in Dorchester, Suffolk, MA. Rachael was born on 30 Jul 1707 in Dorchester and died on 16 Oct 1749 in Boston. They had the following children (possibly others?):
2 Elizabeth Clough was born on 1 May 1730 in Boston.
3 Nathaniel Clough was born on 26 Jul 1731 in Boston.
Rachael (Glover) Clough married 2. Richard Salter, Esq. on 10 Nov 1736 and he died Oct. 1747.

I'm trying to find a different Ebenezer Clough of Boston and his family but figured that adding my research would help here, especially to correct errors on the RootsWeb family trees site. Check sources at end.
1. Ebenezer Clough "bricklayer" was born on 8 Dec 1671 in Boston, Suffolk, MA. He was christened on 24 Sep 1672 in Boston. [if he is the son of John Clough and Mary, if not then these are not his dates.] He died in Jan 1724 and left will. 3 F ii. Martha Clough was born on 20 May 1695 in Boston, Suffolk, MA. Martha married Elias Parkman, son of William Parkman and Elizabeth Adams on 22 Nov 1712 in Boston, Suffolk, MA. Elias was born on 9 Dec 1688 and died on 24 May 1741.
4 F iii. Mary Clough was born on 19 Jul 1697 in Boston, Suffolk, MA.
5 M iv. Ebenezer Clough was born on 19 Mar 1699 and died on 6 Nov 1699 in Boston, Suffolk, MA.
