I am looking for information on Woodbury Clough and his family. Woodbury Clough was born in 1846. According to the 1850 census he was living in Lowell, Massachusetts with Elsie Clough, who was born in 1800. He and his wife Mary had at least two children Frank L. and Della. Frank was born in 1867 or 68 in New Haven, Connecticut. He married Grace Sleeper in 1894. We believe Frank changed his name to Frank C. Stevens. Any information on this Clough family would be appreciated.

Hi,
I'm trying to research my grandfathers parents which I know very little of. My grandfathers parents were William E. Cunningham and Hanna Bella Clough both born around 1847. The children I know they had were Frederick, Joseph and Fanny(Lagg). William may have been born in Pennsylvania or Deleware and Hanna in England. I'm hoping one of your Hanna's may be my great grandmother. Thanks
I'm trying to reach Chris Clough, who was in his twenties, in the U.S.
military (Army) and from the Spokane, Washington area. His finance, also
in the military was stationed in Germany. Chris had a twin brother and his
father or grandfather was Rodney Irving Clough and they had a Clough family
history. Their ancestor John Clough was from London, England, sailed in
1635 on the Elizabeth and seemed to match John Clough of Salisbury, MA .
Their surname of Jane Clough was given as Macumber.
If anyone knows of this Chris, please contact me offline. We've exhausted
the clues from the Clough-L a few months ago and I'm hoping that Chris or
someone who knows him sees this message and responds. Chris's old e-mail
address started with chifaldo and it seems that was the beginning of the
new address as well, just with a different company. It's been almost two
years since we touched base. Hate to go public with this, but have run out
of options.
Thanks for your help. If no one knows Chris, any of his male Clough
relatives would do nicely. I'm hoping to get a DNA sample from their
Cloughs for comparison to determine if the two John Cloughs are the same
man. Rebecca Clough Harpole

I have the following Clough family from Windsor Co, VT in my ancestry:
Rodney Clough, born ca. 1810 (name was spelled Cluff on 1850 census, Clough elsewhere)
married: Elvira Putnam, born 1813 in Chester, VT
They had the following children (at least), all born I believe in either Chester, VT or Andover, VT:
Harvey Rodney (my ancestor) born Feb. 22 1840, married Mary S. Wilbur
Worthey E born ca. 1842
Henry P born ca. 1845
Joseph L born ca. 1847
Russell D born ca. 1848 (was alive after 1871)
Lucinda Elvira born ca. 1849 (married a Houghton)
Ellen S born ca. 1852
Isadore E born ca. 1854
Rosetta E born ca. 1855
Harlan P born ca. 1858
Harvey moved to Londonderry around 1860. Harvey's daughter, Nettie, married Orin David Stowell, my g-g-grandfather.
Other than as marked, I do not know what happened to the other children.
I am particularly interested in Rodney's parents, but would be grateful for any other information on this family.
Thanks--
Melanie Stowell
