Hello All,
I have been communicating with a Harold Clough in Australia via e-mail.
The following is a part of one of his messages:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was great to receive your e-mail. The Cloughs are alive and well in
Australia. We have six children and sixteen grandchildren. My
grandfather
Clough came to Australia from Leeds, England about 1860. My father was
born
in Australia in 1887. I was born in Perth, Western Australia in 1926.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Does anyone know if they are part of our line?
Looking for clues!!
Mark Clough

Besides 59,000 names and many links to the original settlers of
Massachusetts, this site links many families to the Royals of Europe and back
to Adam and Eve, and includes family and country/location histories. It also
list SOURCES of information, which makes it a lot more believable than many
the other genealogical sites on the internet. Have fun!

Dear Cousins,
Cool site! Over 59,000 names! Lots of CLOUGH & CLUFF entries. Traces some
lines back to Royalty and Adam and Eve (although some of the ones back to
Adam & Eve are a bit questionable.)
This site also has pages of family and region/country history. All is
printable. I believe there is also a CD available for purchase. At least
take a look. One of the best sites I've found on the web!

Is there someone on this list who has access to the 1850 Hamburg, Erie
County, NY Census and can transcribe some information for me?
I am researching the CLOUGH surname. Information from sources indicate my
gggrandfather Orson CLOUGH and his wife Julia (MARSH or MARCELLA) are listed
along with other older CLOUGH family members in the 1850 Hamburg, Erie
County, NY Census. Information from this entry is vital to determining
parentage of Orson.
My heart would be forever grateful for any assistance you can give me.
