Dear Cousins,
Maybe I won't be very popular for this if it is a close relative of yours,
but it is on the internet, and updated as of today. There is a current
warrant out for the arrest of Roger Franklin CLOUGH, b. 6-25-1930. Don't
know what for. Call Crimestoppers or the Lincoln, NE, police dept. Just ran
across it.

Hi All
I just want you all to know that I havent forgotten my promise to post the
info for the Boston Clough's. I started a new job a couple weeks ago, and I
am having back problems again. So between the 2 I havent felt up to doing
much searching. I am hoping to be able to do more in the near future.

We do not have such a membership. Is it worthwhile to join, and how much?
By the way, if anyone here is researching, or knows someone who is
researching the Flints, my son has been able to obtain the loan of the 2
volume book on the Flints history, "The Adventurous Seven". I should have
them in my possession this weekend. Andy is waiting for volume 1 and he
said volume 2 is "fascinating".

Did you also know that there was more than one family of Cloughs at that
time? One was from Boston the other was our John from Salisbury. I have
been doing alot of searching lately on the Clough name, and I have found that
both John's named the children alike. (At least that is what I found in the
case of the boys names). The only way I can tell them apart is the name of
John's wife. The Boston one was not Jane or Jone by the way. One John was a
tailor, ours was a house builder. If you have a membership with the
Genealogylibrary.com site you can find more information in the earlier Boston
records in regards to the Boston John Clough. I know I can get confused at
times in regards to which is which, but if I dig enough I can tell. Also
check for the wife's name (Ebenezer's etc...)
Good luck. If you dont have a membership to the genelogylibrary.com let me
know and I can probably send you the early VR of Boston sometime this coming
weekend. jackie

Hi everyone-
I"'ve been receiving the Clough info about a month now, but this my
first attempt at sending out an e-email to you.
My "lost" Clough has me at a standstill. I have not been doing this but
about 2 mos. My sister in law tried for quite a while to find these
elusive people. We have so little to go on.
My grtgrandfather was James Clough b 22 Mar 1856. He married Anna Eliza
Page, b 16 Oct, 1856/57 in Madison Wi,d 21 Jan 1937 in Everett Wa.
James d 17 Nov, 1896, bp and place of death unknown. Annie Pages
people were from Maine. James and Annie had 3 girls, Jessica, Clara,b
25 Dec 1890 poss in S.D.; Dora b 20 Sep 1889, Pierre, S.D.
Annie was married 5 times, divorcing most of them. She was also married
to a Newton Morgan. I can find nothing of this family. Annie's mother
Rachel Couillard was found in the 1850 census of Dane Co., Wi. Until my
grandmother Dora was found in the 1912 census of Everett, Wa. We
haven't been able to find them, or any thing about James Clough. (
there were 2
male born to Annie and James. They died and and were buried on the
family farm, I assume as infants. My grandmother, Dora, did mention
that they were dug up with the plowing.
Does any one have any pointers to find out some thing about the "lost "
years?
thanks
Sharon
Dear Cousins,
Want to share a long list of WI Cloughs with you, but I want to make sure
someone is home so it doesn't get lost in cyberspace (it was difficult at
best to type it all with a Doberman resting his head on my hands on the
keyboard). It's been AWFULLY quiet on this list lately. Is everyone out
enjoying the spring weather or what? It is supposed to SNOW here in MI
tonight. Hope they are wrong. There go my roses!

Hi list,
I got to tour parts of the "Clough House" in Boston about 15 years ago. At one time I had some information about the house and a little of its history. I have misplaced that and can't find much info on the web about it. I seem to remember that an Ebenezer Clough built the Clough house in about 1715 and lived there. He then built the "Old North Church" in his back yard in about 1720 or so. The story I have is he was a building contractor by trade. I know the Clough house is now owned by, and is part of, the "Old North Church" complex.
Since I can't find my info I have a couple of questions for the list:
A) Does anyone have any information about this house and its history?
B) Who was Ebenezer and how does he relate to John and Jane of Salisbury?
I guess that I have always figured he was related in some distant way but if someone can tie him to John I can figure out how he is related to me.
Thanks
Dan Clough
Hi to all!
Is anyone or has anyone been able to locate children, grandchildren of
Winthrop Clough and his wife Elizabeth Mace?
In the first book (John Clough), page 159, #279 it mentions a possible
son Nathan.
I have a researcher working to locate my ancestors parents. The
ancestor is Mace Richard Clough (1817-1875). She came across Susan
Clough (died at age 46 in 1835, daughter of Winthrop) in the New
Hampshire vital records, Robert Clough (died at 72 yrs in 1864), and
possibly Winthrop, Jr.
Thanks for any help!

Here is a really hard question.
In looking under the history of Palmer History, I found my great great
grandmother as a teacher .
The problem is she is listed as a teacher in Blanchardville.. this is
next to the listing for the Wire mill.. all is in palmer.. but where is
blanchardille in 1889?? any suggestions?? I did find at one point that
North Brookfield was called Lawarence..so my guess is this is another
name change but how do I find out which town it was? Judy
Hello to the group!
I am looking for information on Julia Ann Clough who married Richard Smith
of Connecticut. She was from NY and the Smith family lived in Onieda
County. Julia's son Alanson Devillo Smith was born on Aug. 12, 1848 in
Madison, NY.
I know this information is very incomplete - but NY is far for me to travel
and I'm hoping the names might match up with someone else's research.
Thank-you for any help -
