Jacques Jouiel, son of Etienne Jouiel and Suzanne Massau,
came to Canada from France about 1630. Jacques married
Marie Gertrude Moral. ALL Joyals in Canada and the U.S.
descend from Jacques Jouiel.
I'm the genealogist for our branch of the Joyal family.
We have documented thousands of descendants of Jacques.
(We have data on Hamell/Lamell, Clough, Aiken and other
surnames connected to the Joyal family.) This new Joyal
list is a great opportunity to help other Joyal researchers.
Please help spread the word. Thank you.

Is there anyone here who uses Compuserve? If
so, could you please send me a private e-mail.
(I'm trying to help my cousin who uses Compuserve,
and I'm not familiar with their e-mail program.)
I could use some help from a Compuserve person.
Thank you.

Looks like you know how now. :) For others who
are new, and don't know how to send an e-mail
to the list, all you do is address it to:
<Clough-L(a)Rootsweb.com>
(The <Clough-L-Request(a)Rootsweb.com> address is
just for subscribing and unsubscribing.) Leave
the "request" out of the address, as above, and
your messages will reach the list. Also, when
you send a message to the list, you should get a
copy of it back fairly quickly. (That tells you
your message got through to everyone else.)

Hello All
I am trying to access the home pages of the Clough site and Gails pages, all
from genealogy.com and I am unable to access them for some reason. Thought I
would spread the word and maybe someone else can access them. What I find
strange is that I can go to my favorites list and get to them, but not from
genealogy.com. jackie

For your info:
I received my copy of the History of Lyman today. It is the same one
that I have
a photocopy of It is in hardcover and very nicely redone. Apparently
the Higginson
Book Company is who reprinted the book. It does not say anywhere in it
who did
the reprint or that it is a reprint but I called the Village Book Store
in Littleton, N. H. and they told me that they were the ones who
apparently wanted it reprinted.
Village Book Store web site is: www.booksmusictoys.com
No plug intended for the above - I just chose to get the book there as
it as a
half hour from where my daughter goes to school and she purchased it for
me and
put int in the mail to me.

[My apologies to the list, my question has nothing to do
with Clough's here, but I noticed mention of COREY above.]
Does anyone have a COREY genealogy? (VT) I'm stuck on a
Susan Mary COREY; Born 1836, Vt. married Stephen NELSON,
died 1897, Fayston VT. (according to their gravestone.)
Dau. of Alpheus and Laura COREY.
Children of Stephen Nelson and Susan M. Corey were;
Aubrey, Stephen, Willie, Harmon, Axie,
Laura and Herbert.
I would be most grateful if anyone could point me in the
right direction to find the ancestry of Susan Mary COREY.
Thank you, and sorry for the off-topic posting.
