Hi,
Is Putney anywhere near Randolph? Would this be the
same Dana who is the son of Lyman J. Clough, and
Josephine Darling?

Putney is a small town in southeastern Vermont, bordering New Hampshire. It
is just north of Brattleboro. It's about 25 miles north of the Mass border
on Interstate 91. It's about an hour & a half drive to Randolph.
This Dana is the son of William Clough & Maria B. Jefts (name on gravestone;
John Clough desc. has Marie Roxanna Jefts)

While at a funeral service today at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Putney,
Vermont, I came across a few Clough gravestones. I walked through the
cemetery while waiting for the service, saw about 90% of stones, so this
list may or may not be complete list of Cloughs for this cemetery. Info

This will probably be on interest only to those who descend from Aaron.
Aaron's wife Abigail Moulton was the daughter of Mary Perkins, whose parents
were Abraham perkins Jr and Elizabeth Sleeper. Abigail's great grand father
was Abraham, Sr. My question: Who was Abraham Sr's father. I believe we were
told it was Isaac by a librarian who was a Perkins and since then I've been
told it was John Perkins who was married to Judith Gaiter. John born abt
1582. Can anyone clear this up for me?
Cynthia Rump
Hi Esther,
Yes, Elizabeth was the dau. of John & Jane Clough of Salisbury. Sources are the
Genealogy of the Descendents of John Clough, the Pioneers of MA, and the
Salisbury V.R.
Do you have any more info on Patience Clough or Joseph Rowe? Birth dates or
approximate times, death, parents, siblings, etc. I have four Patience Cloughs
in my data base but don't have record of marriages for two of them. One was born
probably about 1802, the others were born Aug. 12, 1783, Mar. 18, 1791, Dec. 8,
1809.

Hi List,
Found one more, now I need another two. I'm looking for the parents of
Elizabeth, b.12-16-1642, d. 9-30-1707 in Dover, New Hampshire. She was
married to William Horne b.1609 in England, d.6-28-1689 in Dover, N.H. I
believe her parents to be John b.1612-1616, Salisbury, Mass and Jane or
Joan ?? b. 1620, Salisbury, Mass. They were married in 1641, Salisbury. Can
anyone help?
Also, I'm still looking for Patience Clough. She married Joseph Rowe. Thanks,
Esther Otis Medford
Elizabeth & Bill,
According to the Genealogy of the Descendents of John Clough and the
Salisbury Vital Records, Elizabeth was born Dec 28, 1720, and she mar. John
Morrill on Nov 8, 1738, in Salisbury, MA. Her parents were Zacheus Clough &
Sarah Page. Elizabeth & John had a son John, b. Sep 4, 1739, according to
the Genealogy of the Descendents of John Clough. They had eight other
children.

Hi Jane,
For your first line, according to the Genealogy of the Descendents of John
Clough of Salisbury, the only child of Mary (Austin) & William was
William. All other children were the offspring of William & Abigail (?).
This is also verified in the History of Salem, NH, of which I have copies
of the birth, marriage, & death pages for them.
For your second line, how did you connect David (#1034) with Lois (#460)?
The book says David mar. a Lois Clough, but doesn't specifically say which
one. The birth dates are close, but I like to have a source before I
connect people.
Check out my web site for more information if you want.

Dear Cousins,
Just a note to let you know that I will be buying my
g-grandfather (Lyman Judson Clough's) house soon.
We will be moving to Vermont, hopefully before winter,
and the house will be staying in the family.
This will NOT change Clough-L in any way. The list
will remain as is at Rootsweb. The only thing that
will change will be my personal e-mail address, and
I'll let you all know what the new one is, after we've
moved.
I'll be in Vt. next week, so if you have any problems
with list mail, you won't receive an answer from me
before then.
Thanks to all of you who have been SO supportive for
me during a very very difficult time.

HELLO EVERYONE,
IF FOR SOME REASON YOU HAVE RECEIVED A FILE FROM ME CALLED HAPPY 99,
DO NOT OPEN IT. SCAN YOUR SYSTEM FOR A VIRUS. I JUST FOUND IT IN MY
SYSTEM TONIGHT AND HAD IT REMOVED. IF YOU HAVE IT IN YOUR SYSTEM, DO A
SEARCH ON THE NET AND IT WILL TELL YOU HOW TO GET RID OF IT. I FOUND
OUT ABOUT IT BECAUSE I UPDATED MY NORTON VIRUS LIST.
SORRY FOR ANY PROBLEMS I MAY HAVE CAUSED
Hi everyone,
Sorry to send this to the group, but I can't find my instructions on how
to unsubscribe and subscribe to the Clough list. Can someone forward
them to me? I'm not going anywhere, just changing internet providers.
Thanks, Gail

Clough family members,
Just an update, wanted you to know that my 13 pound, metal halo came off
on Tuesday! I will now be wearing a hard collar for 2 weeks, and then
just having to watch myself for a few months. No ski diving, or water
sports. I did ask when I could ride my mare again. Didn't get an answer.
Thanks to all of you that have emailed during the past 3 months of my
recovery.

Dear Clough Researchers:
Last week when I was doing research at the Virginia Room in the Fairfax
County Main Library I came across the following information.
Woodson M. Clough married Judith H. Woodson, the daughter of Samuel M.
Woodson, on May 25,1819 in Goochland County, VA.
This may be of help to someone out there.

Hello Folks,
Well as some of you know, I now have my web page set up and some of
you have been kind enough to allow me to add your name, (first name)
along with e-mail and web site to it. I am sorry that I forgot to add
that another part of my project was going to be a list of the surnames
each of us are looking. If you haven't seen my page yet, check it out
and if you want to add your name then just let me know.
Thanks
