It was a beautiful ceremony, and a grand show in riding from the
incredible Winchester Cathedral to the immense Buckingham Palace passing
by a million people, or more. I'm just glad that "We the People of the
United States of America" are not going to be taxed to pay for all that
grandeur. Thanks to all those Patriots who died, and those who served to
throw off the yoke of the English Parliament!!!
I wouldn't consider it 'nice' to be connected to the Royal Family of
Great Britain, or any other controlling interest of a similar nature.
They had a 1000 year history of enslaving millions of people around the
world, including their own people. I would be more proud to have a
connection to someone who signed the Declaration of Independence. "Don't
Tread on Me!"
Yes, I realize that Prince William had nothing to do with all that
history, but he represents the legacy of his institution. Does anybody
think he would give up all that pomp, ceremony, and veneration, and go
out and get a real job. He hasn't so far!
It was just beautiful ... Kate's gown was classic simplicity and so elegant!!

Dear List,
What a lovely, lovely wedding today of Prince William and Catherine
Middleton!! :-)
We, as Clough's, have a connection to the Royal family through marriage.
Sir Richard Clough married Katherine Tudor of Berain - a second cousin of
Queen Elizabeth I. However, we are NOT descended from them.
Let us rejoice in the happy day for this couple and send them light and
love as we would wish others to do for us! :-)
Best Wishes,
