Sheila--you did a wonderful job on the new Clough books and deserve a round of applause. I cherish mine.
I am so glad that our paths have crossed and that I've shared my information with you and the JCGS.
I hope you will continue to be involved with the society in some capacity.

Dear List,
For the past 14 years I have been the Genealogist for the John Clough
Genealogical Society. For the past year I have also been the Bulletin
Editor/Publisher. For various reasons it has become clear to me that it is time to
leave these positions. I will not be seeking re-nomination for either
position and will not be attending this years’ reunion being held two weeks
from today. My time in office will end Sept. 30, 2010.
As Genealogist I have greatly enjoyed the various aspects of this position
as well as getting to know our membership via the sharing of genealogy
information, the hugely successful Clough family trips I led to Britain,
seeing our members at reunions, etc. Our members are the heart of our
organization and you all have been amazingly supportive and appreciative of my
efforts. For this I am truly grateful and you all have a very warm and special
place in my heart!
As Bulletin Editor/Publisher for the past year, I have also enjoyed
providing our membership with a quality publication that is enjoyed and
appreciated. It has been fulfilling and rewarding to be in contact with those who
chose to submit articles and to display their words and pictures in ways
that were pleasing to them.
My decision to leave my Board positions was a very difficult one since I
have great affection for the JCGS, my Clough cousins, and my work for the
Society and our members. However, for various reasons, it is clear it is
time for me to go.
I continue to wish all of you the very best and encourage you to contact
me privately anytime.

Dear Sheila:
We were so surprised to learn of your resignation. The society will
be hard pressed to replace you with a person with as much dedication
and interest as you have demonstrated over the years. You will be
missed. Good luck to you in whatever you choose to do.
