Hi Kevin,
You may certainly post the details of the source you found in case others
wish to access it.
I am hoping by putting the query out to the list that some family member who
has the time might find the parentage of William Pitt Clough so he may be
included in the new book. This sort of research is simply out of the question
for me in regard to time. Work on the book is first and foremost.
Many thanks to all of you who have been looking for more info on this
Clough! :-)
Best Wishes,
Sheila

I do not know if this is the same family, but the son is the same age as William Pitt Clough. I find it interesting that he graduated from Northwestern State Normal School at Edinboro, Pennsylvania at age 17. There is a William B. Clough (aged 43) living in Edinboro in the 1860 census with his wife, Sabina (age 39), and children Wm. B. (age 15) and Lilly (age 13). I am not too bothered by the middle initial of B since it is possible that census taker may have misheard the letter P as a B. Census is attached.

Dear List,
Thank you very much to all of you who have written to me privately at
_CloughGen(a)aol.com_ (mailto:CloughGen@aol.com) about your willingness to assist in
sorting out the genealogical issues that are still present in our upcoming
new book, all who have ordered copies of our new book, and those of you who
have sent very old family photos!!
I will get back to you all individually soon. At the moment, however, I am
inundated with work on the book. I need to finish an aspect of editing and
get the results to my "Book Committee" members ASAP so that I can continue
work on the book in other regards.
Since all of you who have shown an interest in trying to sort out book
issues are on this list, I will post the genealogical issues on this list. This
will allow all 185 list members to see the genealogical issues and we can have
many folks trying to work out the problems.
Thank you all for your amazing support and appreciation!! When I approached
the JCGS Board many years ago about the need to do another book I could not
have dreamed of all of the amazing support from family members! Thank you
all for your wonderful support in this endeavor and all of your hard work in
researching your lines, obtaining as much info as possible, and getting that
info to me. Thank you for your trust in me to put your info into this new book
to be utilized for the benefit for generations to come! :-)
This book will be the result of a combination of efforts from untold numbers
of family members and I could not be more thankful to all of the family
members who have so generously supported this huge undertaking!!
Very Best Wishes To All,
Sheila Andersen

Thanks David,
Actually, I am more in your shoes! Denny did everything ... except customer contact thru the computer. He handled all the finances, handled all the household stuff, ran the business ... I just went to school to teach special ed.
Now I am facing a mountain of envelopes and have no sense of where he was!
Not to mention the nearly $90,000 in medical bills!! We had no insurance on him - believing he was healthy and anything could wait until his medicare kicked in on June 1, 2009 ... yep... just 2 1/2 more months and I wouldn't be facing what I am facing!!
But I will get thru this!
Jo

I don't doubt it's the most difficult thing to do. It probably hasn't sunk
in, yet. If I lost Jan I would be in a trance for a long time. I'm
domesticated, so I would slowly shift gears to take over all she does for
us, like finances, food, house duties. I couldn't be here sitting at the
computer as much as I do. You've had a double whammy. You said he already
had a heart attack just before...
Do you have anyone to take over the product end of the business? It sure
would help, if someone can step in and begin to take over while you keep
business floating like working with the Accountant, Banking, Insurance, etc.
I assume you do the Admin. You have to keep things going no matter what.
There's not much out there for you to do in this economy. I'm sure you
realize that. Plus, it's probably good therapy for you to keep busy.
Hang in there, girl. You can make it!
David

Hi Sheila,
This is good. Can you resend this out about the first part of April as well. Thanks, Gwen
