Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Dear Billie,
Many thanks for your kind words! :-)
All of us who know you and Ward wish him all the best with a quick recovery
from cataract surgery.
Thank you for your dedication to the JCGS Board despite your overwhelmingly
busy life! :-)
Much Affection,
Sheila
Dear Sheila,
Finally had a chance to look through the books! Fantastic is the only
word I can say!!! You and your committee are to be commended. The
reunion was the best and all enjoyed the programs given by you and other
members. I hope you have had time to unwind and relax some--you deserve
it! We have been sooooo busy since returning with doctor appointments
and "catch up" on office work. We have appointments with doctors until
12/03 when Ward will have cataract surgery. Again, thanks to all for a
wonderful reunion and genealogy books to be very proud of!!
Billie
I don't have any John Clough's born in 1803. What is his line back to John
Clough of Salisbury?

Hi all,
Timothy Clough was also my 5th G Grandfather and all this mention

Dear Carol:
Timothy and Mary are in my direct line of family and my records show that
Timothy died at Middletown, Middlesex Co. CT
I would assume he is buried there. I have no record for where Mary Washburn
died except that she was born at the same location as Timothy, so probably
died and buried in same location. Please let me know what you find out so
that I can update my information. If you find a headstone, please forward a
copy to me.

Hi Ken,
Thanks for sharing that Brian Clough info. :-)
He was the manager for Manchester United football (aka soccer) team in
England. Back in 2003 when the group I had brought out there was receiving a
lot of media attention, BBC Wales News had contacted his son (Brian died
some time ago) to see if he would be interested in having a DNA analysis to
see if there was a connection between his Clough family and ours.
Unfortunately, he did not "return their call."
Maybe some day we can make contact with that family again. :-)
Best Wishes,
Sheila Andersen

Heard a bit on NPR about a notorious Clough cousin today. The movie is
called "The Damned United <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYzsswqPk6s>".
The link is to a trailer of the movie on You Tube. During the interview
the movie character is asked 'Are you the best football manager in the UK?'
Modestly he answers "No, but I'm in the top one."

I would also work backward from Judan Clough who was born around 1849.

Dear Earl,
Thank you for your Clough query to my list as well as your recent query to
our Treasurer, John R. Clough.
Now that I have recovered from our book launch and hosting our Salisbury
JCGS reunion I have a bit more time to delve into your query.
The only info I have on Calista/Celesta Clough and her family (i.e.
parents, spouse, sister, brother-in-law) came from you and is exactly as you have
it in your e-mail. If Calista actually has different parents, I don't
have that info.
Sorry I could not be of more assistance.

Dear List,
I continue to have interest in another Clough Family Trip to Great
Britain. Therefore, I am offering such a trip again. However, in order for
another trip to be feasible I will need a minimum of 18 interested persons.
Now that my son is in school I am unable to do my typical September time
frame. I now have to work within his school vacations. Even so he will
miss some days of school since our trips are usually about 10 days in length.
Therefore, the only option for a Clough Family Trip in 2010 will be in
April. Rhys's vacation is the week of April 12 so the trip would incorporate
that week and several days before and after that week. If I get enough
interest for another trip I will narrow down the dates in a couple of months.
Please note that I am writing this from my trip e-mail address of
_TouringBritain(a)aol.com_ (mailto:TouringBritain@aol.com) and NOT my genealogy
e-mail of _CloughGen(a)aol.com_ (mailto:CloughGen@aol.com) . So, PLEASE send your
trip queries to this _TouringBritain(a)aol.com_
(mailto:TouringBritain@aol.com) address and NOT to the list or my genealogy e-mail address.
The price of such a trip will not be known for quite some time since it is
dependant upon where we go, where we stay, the dates we travel, and the
final number of participants.
Any family members interested in joining a Clough Family Trip in April 2010
needs to contact me at _TouringBritain(a)aol.com_
(mailto:TouringBritain@aol.com) ASAP. Please put the word out to family members who are not signed
onto this list.
Looking forward to hearing back from you! :-)
Best Wishes,
Sheila Andersen
Dear Phyllis,
I am so pleased you had such a lovely time! It was wonderful to finally
"meet" you and to give you that hug! :-) Please come back for more
reunions if possible!
I hope you continue to enjoy the new Clough book set. We are really
fortunate that our founding JCGS mothers and fathers did such a wonderful job
with their early research. Now, however, we are blessed with family members
like you who have contributed your own continued research. It is thanks to
the efforts of family like you that we have such a huge tome.
Please keep in touch. And, if I have the joy of going out west I will
certainly be eager to see Wisconsin! :-)
Much Affection,
Sheila
Dear List,
Just a reminder to all of the new list members that our new Clough book set
is done and can be ordered. Please contact our Treasurer, John R. Clough,
