Hello,
Maybe some of this will help if you don't have it.
There is a "OneWorldTree" on ancestry.com with line of
Guernsey A. Clough being married to Mary Shabrook. He son of Jonathan and Almira Clough.
The Mass vital records listed online at New England Historic Genealogical Society showed that Guernsey died 31 July 1896 age 62 yrs 3 mths 2 days in Belchertown. Showed that he was born in Buffalo, NY and parents were John and Almira Clough.
Also death record for Almira Clough nee Levins born 1 Nov 1806 Thompson, CT died 23 March 1899 village of Ware, Belchertown, MA
Did not find marriage records for either.
Regards,
Irene

Sheila,
I think it was around the beginning of the 14th Century that Wales and
England had some opposing issues, many castles were constructed around Wales to
keep the rebellious Welshmen under control. Was the castle of our ancestor
one of these castles or was it one that was of a Welsh landowner who resisted
the English?
Have a great trip.
Earle and Cathy
Dear Listers,
I will be away from Mar. 5 to Mar. 15. Thanks to the kindness of a dear
friend Rhy, his nanny, and I are heading to Great Britain.
For those of you who have been on either of my 'Clough Family Trips,' we
will be seeing some Clough places around Manchester, Brynbella, Plas Clough,
Berain, Glasfryn, and Portmeirion. While we are in Wales we will be staying at
a cottage owned by Richard Williams-Ellis.
My apologies for not listing more lately. Rhys and I have been passing
illness back and forth and I have still had to work full-time and do overtime
while planning this trip. I will settle back into the swing of things upon our
return.
Best Wishes To All,
Sheila Andersen
