Dear Listers,
Jackie will be sorely missed but I know we all wish her the very best in her
continued Clough research and send her many thanks for her hard work these
past years as our Bulletin Editor.
Sorry this is so short. My time is usually short these days with working
and caring for Rhys.
Best Wishes to All,

Dear Cousins,
Found this on one of my genealogy lists. It is a LARGE military index of
wars to Vietnam on the internet:
Online Military Indexes, War Records & Databases of Soldiers @
http://www.militaryindexes.com/index.html
Some sites are pay but this one is FREE to Search from November 12-25, 2005!
(I can also do lookups on Ancestry.com for some WW I draft cards any time).

Hello Cousins,
I want to let you all know as of December 1st, 2005, I am no longer the
bulletin editor for the John Clough Society. Currently I do not have an address
or email address for the people who are taking the position over, so if you
should have any articles for the December bulletin you can still send them to
me and I will forward them as soon as I have an address to do so, (unless
of course the new editors belong to this list and lets you know where to send
the articles instead). The new editors names are: Don & Dot Clough, and
assistant editor is Alan Zavorotny.
It has been a pleasure working for the society and all of you. I have
gained alot of knowledge in doing this. But it is time to hand over the job to
some new blood with new ideas, and get back to doing what I really enjoy most -
research!
I am currently working on an article to hopefully submit into the March
bulletin in regards to the research I have done, which could very well help those
of you with some "brick walls". I do want to say that if something should
help I am most willing to send anyone the information in the future, this also
includes those of you on this list that do not belong to the society as yet.
It may help prove your connection to John Clough of Salisbury!
I urge all of you to continue with your research and do not give up hope -
your connection could be just around the corner! I also urge you to preserve
the past. future generations will be glad of all you accomplish in your
research. Here is a prime example of this, when I started my research about 10
years ago I had very little to go on. (I was never really "into" genealogy,
and started it on a whim, now I am hooked for good!) Then as a surprise my
Uncle Vernon informed me that he had a whole bunch of information for me! It
was like Christmas all over again for me. On my paternal side of the family
I had a major "brick wall", I didnt know a thing about my grandfathers side
of the family. One of the members of the JCGS - Eva - did much to help me in
checking out some really iffy stuff. another avenue I pursued is I got onto
several message boards on roots web, and eventually the right people saw my
messages and contacted me. So I suggest you also go to these message boards -
you just never know!
I look forward to meeting some of you one of these days at the reunions. I
still plan on staying a member of the society, but because of the distance
and expense I probably wont attend every other reunion like I have the past 7
years.
I hope you all keep in touch with me via email or even letters.
Cousin Jackie
