Hello All
First of all let me say that the coat of arms I was talking about was
selling on QVC. QVC is a reputable company and only does business with the same
type of companies. The company they usually do business with for the coat of
arms has offices in England and Ireland. Unfortunately off the top of my head
I can not remember the name of that company.
I am, however, aware of these "so called" companies who are not as
legitimate as they would have us believe.
I would not have mentioned this if I thought it was fraud or a company with
less than a sterling reputation.
I was trying to give everyone the chance to check out the item and judge for
themselves.
I didnt intend for everyone and their brother on this list to send me emails
telling me how wrong this could be.
Sorry if anyone was offended by it. It wasnt done for that reason.
Please disregard that email, and I would appreciate it if the private emails
to me would stop regarding it. Let it be known I stand corrected and will
not do something of this type ever again.

I haven't seen this item but be careful. The coat of arm you get may not be what you think it will be. Ask to see it BEFORE you buy.(Every couple of years someone brings a new Clough Coat-of-Arms to the meetings or someone sends out a mailing offering to sell us one. Langdon

Hello All
I do not usually do this, but I just have to let everyone know about the
todays special value on QVC. It is called Framed Dual Family Name Histories
&Coat of Armsw/Heraldry Book and sells for $86.64 each. It combines 2 names
and
give s a family history of each name. I think it would be a lovely addition
for all of us who are addicted to genealogy. I am seriously considering it
myself even though I am unemlpoyed and cant really afford it right now. Oh
the item number if anyone is interested is M127434
I hope no one is upset because I mentioned this on this list. But I really
think this is something. Jackie

Dear Listers,
My job and money issues are such that I have had to postpone the next
'Clough Family Trip to Great Britain' until September/October. In having to do
this I have unfortunately lost two travelers due to conflicting schedules so my
total at this time is 16. I would really like to fill four spaces so if
anyone wishes to join us in the fall of next year please let me know.
The tentative itinerary has also changed. Rebecca Harpole visited a couple
of the places I have wanted to bring folks and says that we should definitely
visit so I have revamped the itinerary accordingly. You will find the new
tentative itinerary at the end of this e-mail.
Best Wishes,
Sheila Andersen

Dear Cousins,
An excellent resource for British history, and signing up is free! Many
CLOUGHs and others here. Just briefing looking, I found there are records back to
the early 1600s, including population census with individual names and ages,
and tons more. Worth a look. There is a web site search engine. To sign up,
go to:
