Hi Jackie,
We started repainting, our bathroom and it ended up being an entire remodeling job (ripping up the floor, new washer, etc.) Anyway, that's part of the reason I've not been on the email for a few days. I read your notice and am answering the call to duty. If you need to fill space in the Bulletin, perhaps this will do.
" The current issue of National Geographic lists a web site where veterens of World War II whose names were not included in the national memorial can be logged in. (www.worldwariimemorial.com) No matter how I go to this site, I end up at the Pew Foundation and just can't find it. However, the point is that for lack of space, there are many who served our nation during this epic struggle who have not been properly recognized."
"Some of you may recall that a few years ago, I compiled a listing of all our members who fought in the American Revolution. (If you didn't get one just email me and I'll send you one.) Perhaps it's about time we recognized our relatives who served in World War Two. So, if you are interested in making certain that the record of their service is preserved, please send their name, dates of service, etc. along. If the person was a member of the Society, please note that fact."
"There were also many Clough's who worked hard on the civilian front to make possible our victory. If you know of anyone with a story that should be told, please let me know."
"I will continue to try and find out what the story is on that on-line memorial and will inform you at the reunion. Until then, God Be With You"
Cousin Langdon
Dear Listers,
Not long ago I let the list know that I am having a child in October. The
other day I found out I will be having a BOY!
Besides my own ancestry of English, Danish, Italian, Native American,
Russian, and Swedish my son will have his father's ancestry of Welsh, Italian, and
German.
Best Wishes,
Sheila Andersen
