Hello Cousins,
Just want to let you all know the sad news. My uncle Sherman Clough has
passed away this morning. From what I know he took a fall last year and broke his
hip (I thought it was his knees but I was wrong), and he was in the nursing
home. His MS took over and he went down hill from there.
My heart goes out to his brothers and sisters. Sherman was a member of the
Society for several years.

I received this and tried it out. I put in Clough and came up with 87
hits. Then put in John Clough between the dates of 1600 and 1700 and
came up with two. Neither of them do I know if they are our John
Clough. i don't know if $3.00 is reasonable to spend. I'm sure it's
pounds, or whatever their money is over there. Anyway, thought it would
be helpful and maybe someone can figure out which, if any, are our
relations.

Dear Listers,
Last month I sent the list an e-mail with a link to see an article about Sir
Richard Clough on a website run by the BBC. That article had a link to our
John Clough Genealogical Society. I hope you all had a look.
Today, in conjunction with the Sir Richard Clough article, there is now an
article on how DNA assisted us in finding our distant Clough cousins and on the
group I led in September. There are photos included with the article and I
invite all of you to take a look.
You will find the article at
http://www.bbc.co.uk/legacies/myths_legends/wales/w_ne/user_1_index.shtml
The article is several pages, so you will need to click on "Read More" and
"Next" until you get to the end. If you wish, you may feel free to leave
comments - they provide this option at the end of each page. However, please read
through the whole article before doing so.
Please let me know what you think! :-)
Best Wishes to All,

Hi:
My name is David H. Clough an I am interested in joining the Clough
Genealogical Society. How do I go about doing this? I've been reading the e-mail that
I get from y'all, and I am wondering, did all the Clough's come from John
Clough?
Thanks Dave
I have three volumes of "Vital Records of Charlestown, Massachusetts to the
Year 1850" It was published by NEHGS and covers records back to 1630. It only
had three pages listing a John Clough. A birth of John Clough to William
Clough in 1657, and the marriage and intentions I mentioned before. I noticed
under abbreviations that Jan is used for Jane but there are no Janes, Joans ,
Jones or Joannas listed under Clough. They do list the Cloghe spelling
which is sort of the way it is pronounced in Welsh. Millie
