Hi Group. I just wanted to say what a fabulous job Sheila did on this
trip. She had something amazing going on every day and we had some
wonderful surprises that happened too. Like the choir boys singing in
Chester Cathedral and being unexpectedly invited to tea at Brynbella...
but I'll let Sheila tell the details. I definitely felt that we had family
approval on a variety of levels! As we say here in the U.K. "Well done!"

Dear Clough Family,
Thursday night I arrived home from Great Britain where I had the awesome
privilege of leading 17 others to places in England and Wales and introducing them
to British Clough descendants. I will soon send the list a detailed
description of the places and people we met along the way.
In the meantime, let me just say it was an honor to lead this group!
One of the remarkable things to happen on this trip was all of the publicity
we got from BBC Wales television news, BBC Wales Radio, and several print
newspapers. They were very interested in how we used DNA analyses to find a
connection between the descendants of our John Clough and the descendants of Sir
Richard Clough.
This and many other wonderful coincidences (if I can remember them all) will
be included in my recap to the list.
Best Wishes to All,
Sheila

Hello Cousins,
I want to say Im sorry that the bulletin will be a bit later than usual this
month. I have it ready to go to the printers, but I am unable to get there
for the next few days. My father-in-law passed away this morning and things are
a bit hectic. I will have them mailed by next weekend. jackie

Dear Clough Cousins,
As most of you know, I will be leading the Second Clough Family Trip to Great
Britain next week. One of our stops/stays will be Portmeirion in Wales, an
Italianesque villa built by Clough Williams-Ellis - a descendant of Sir Richard
Clough.
I sent a press release about our stay there to the Managing Director and he
has put it on their website. I invite everyone to take a look at the press
release on the Portmeirion website.
Instructions:
Go to www.portmeirion.com
Click on the picture of the village.
Click on English.
At the top, click on News.
Our news release is the first one listed.
After reading the first paragraph, click on More where you will see the whole
news release.
Since the world is not very safe for Americans right now, I am not sending
out the rest of our itinerary to this list. When we return, however, I will
certainly write about our experiences and the places we visited.
In the meantime, take a look at the Portmeirion website and enjoy the
pictures of the beautiful Italianesque village built by Clough Williams-Ellis!
Best Wishes to All!
